Collaboration with Digital Dragons 2017
Sweden Game Arena has started a collaboration with Digital Dragons, the largest game industry conference in Central Europe. The next edition is taking place in Krakow, Poland, on May 22-23 2017.
Last year the event attracted over 1300 visitors and the conference offers a more expansive programme each year, with a larger number of globally recognized speakers, a bigger showcase for independent developers and a more uniquely designed networking area at the very summit of creativity and business.
Every year 90 speakers participate in over 70 talks and panel discussions. Five rooms with simultaneous tracks are available during the event, with topics such as art, programming, business and game design. This year the organizers also plan to add an additional room dedicated to workshops in distribution platforms.
The first programme details are up, and some of the confirmed keynote speakers are:
- Brenda & John Romero – Romero Games
- Rami Ismail – Vlambeer
- Michał Drobot – Activison
- Fernando Vasconez – Rovio
Top players of the Polish game industry such as CD Projekt Red, Techland, 11bit studios and CI Games will also be present at Digital Dragons, and will appear on stage during the event.
Apart from the industry conference Digital Dragons consist of an Expo area and a Business meeting area where attendees can schedule one on one meetings with a matchmaking application. Thanks to this, Digital Dragons is a great opportunity to expand your business contacts, gain media attention and find potential publishers, funding and employees.
Digital Dragons Indie Showcase is an unique opportunity for game startups and independent developers. Last year the competition attracted over 60 projects competing for the title of Best Indie Game, and it is a great way of presenting your games to a selected audience of industry peers, veterans and experts, as well as a chance to win prestigious awards.
