IndieGameGirl workshop a real success
From start through launch: How to build an effective marketing campaign for your indie game. The full day workshop in Gothia Science Park, with PR & marketing expert Emmy Jonassen, IndieGameGirl, was a great success.
The workshop combined lecture with hands-on exercise, IndiGameGirl covered the necessary steps to build a targeted launch campaign, including target market research/identification, asset creation, press outreach and more. The 40 participants from some 20 studios in Skövde and Gothenburg came away with tools and techniques that can immediately be applied to their own game’s launch.
– Great marketing workshop by IndieGameGirl, it will certainly help us. Thanks again for the great help, said Sander Brauwers at IGDB.com and is supported by Mikael Forslind, Zoink Games:
– Great lecture!
Game companies in Skövde were satisfied as well:
– It was a workshop very well carried out. Most helpful, says Pontus Lundén, Double Zero One Zero.
– We are very pleased with this workshop which has given us new tools and mindset to work with our marketing and PR, said David Rosén, Pieces Interactive.
The workshop was arranged in cooperation between The Game Incubator and the Open Arena, Gothia innovation AB.
– It feels very good that companies benefit from the activities we are focusing on. Our mission is to support companies in different phases and in different ways and to contribute to creating growth in terms of new jobs and new products and services. Marketing and sales are a crucial to create market penetration, says Åsa Björk, head of the Gothia Science Park Open Arena.
