Nordic Game Discovery Contest visits Skövde again
Sweden Game Conference will host the fifth qualifier for the second season of the Nordic Game Discovery Contest.
Sweden Game Conference (18-20 October, in Skövde, Sweden) and Nordic Game have announced the renewal of their partnership agreement regarding the Game Discovery Contest. The fifth qualifying round of this season’s contest will take place as part of the conference on 19 October. The winner will earn a place in the Nordic Game Discovery Contest Finals at next year’s Nordic Game Conference, 23-25 May 2018.
“When the Nordic Game Discovery Contest debuted last year, we had a great qualifying round at SGC. The heat winner, Whirlybird Games, then went all the way to the very last round at the finals at NG17 in Malmö, and the team did a splendid job on stage of the live pitch competition”, adds Jacob Riis, Program Director at Nordic Game. “I’m very excited to see which great game projects will arrive from Skövde this time around.”
“I think the Nordic Game Discovery Contest is a great opportunity for companies to get their game projects discovered, and Sweden Game Conference is the perfect venue as we will have so many talented teams here on site that should seize the moment and apply for the NGDC round here in Skövde”, says Magnus Ling, Director of Sweden Game Conference.
